Zadran’s Kitchen is proud to debut at the Lubber Run Farmers Market, bringing bold, reimagined Afghan flavors to the community. Featured dishes include made from scratch and hand crafted mantu (steamed dumplings filled with warm spiced beef or chicken), and aushak (leek and garlic chive) filled dumplings . Each dish is paired with garlic feta, yogurt and a choice of split peas or mushrooms cooked in rich tomato sauce and herbs. Plus traditional Afghan chutneys and pickles, also available to take home.
Founded by Humayun Zadran, who was forced to shut down his culinary and cultural spaces in Kabul after the fall of the Afghan government in 2021. Zadran’s Kitchen is a story of resilience. An advocate for both the arts and food in Afghanistan, Humayun has rebuilt his career through pop-ups, catering, and high-profile events across the DMV and New York City.
