Field to Table is a community-based nonprofit that connects neighborhoods with fresh, locally grown produce and prepared foods. The organization is part of the nationwide “locavore” movement, which encourages people to reestablish their relationship with the land and purchase food from local farmers and food preparers.
Founded in 2012 by a group of neighbors who wanted a walkable farmers market in Westover Village, Field to Table has promoted sustainable food systems and fostered access to nutritious food for the Arlington community and surrounding areas. Since the opening of that first market in Westover, Field to Table markets have become cornerstones of the neighborhoods where they operate – each serving as a vibrant hub for community engagement, commerce, and entertainment, as well as a convenient place to access fresh local produce.
